About TFM Hire Supplying Equipment To You
TFM Hire, originally known as Thorpe Farm Repairs, was established in Thorpe on the Hill to service neighbouring farms with quality farming equipment and machinery.
In 1976 we relocated to our current location in Whisby, Lincoln from where we have grown from strength to strength.
Throughout the 1990s, Thorpe Farm Repairs started to establish itself as TFM Countrystore and TFM Hire branched out into hire equipment when the first hire manure spreader was purchased.
This opened the demand for equipment hire, particularly aimed at farmers, the agricultural sector or those in rural properties who are most likely to benefit from one-off hires than owning equipment.
Hire Shop & Equipment Expansion
TFM Hire has evolved even further to cover the hire requirements of builders, arborists, landscape gardeners and private individuals working on their own gardens and in their homes.
We are a family-run business and since those early days has now diversified, running a varied hire fleet with well over 70 pieces of equipment and machinery hire. We have three generations in store and an amazing team of 19 staff running TFM Hire alongside TFM Countrystore.
There is no need to hold an account and hired in plant insurance can be provided at a low cost where required.

Animal Welfare
Several of our staff have been involved with animal rescue charities and the ethos of TFM is very strongly based around animal welfare. We work hard to provide the right advice on nutrition, healthcare and enrichment and we donate to various local animal charities too.
Family Run Business
We have three generations working for TFM. Frank, Managing Director who is based mainly at home now, Nikki his daughter is responsible for the day to day management of the business on site. Her son Alex, has recently started back at TFM after finishing his degree, mostly working within Hire

To always be the local family business that goes the extra mile. Whether its to carry your heavy bags to the car, order in a specific product or give advice to help. If you can't see what you need, just ask. If we can't order it in we will try and recommend another business who can supply the product you need.
